Physical Therapist

Job Summary: The Physical Therapist provides inpatient acute care services, delivering skilled physical therapy to patients to improve their mobility and functional abilities. The role involves assessing patient conditions, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes. Flexibility in scheduling, including weekend coverage, is required to meet patient care needs. Responsibilities: Conduct patient assessments to evaluate physical condition and functional abilities. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Provide therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, and function. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care. Document patient care activities, progress notes, and treatment outcomes accurately. Educate patients and families on therapy goals and home exercise programs. Maintain compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements. Required Skills & Certifications: Valid Physical Therapist licensure in the state of Hawaii. Minimum of 1 year of experience in inpatient acute physical therapy. Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Current CPR certification. Preferred Skills & Certifications: Experience working in acute care hospital settings. Additional certifications in specialized therapy techniques.li> Flexibility to cover varying shifts and weekend schedules. Special Considerations: Schedule includes at least one weekend day with flexibility. Position may be contract-based with potential for cancellation upon hiring of permanent staff, subject to one month's notice. Work environment is inpatient acute care setting requiring adherence to hospital protocols. Scheduling: 36-40 hours per week with flexible scheduling.
