The Associate Legal Counsel will help manage the legal department's shared inbox and provide legal support across a broad range of commercial and contractual matters, partnering closely with the legal department, compliance and other stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented attorney to gain broad, hands-on experience supporting a fast-paced in-house legal team at a growing RIA.**Primary Responsibilities*** Review and negotiate a variety of contracts, including vendor contracts, NDAs, and other commercial agreements.* Provide legal counsel to advisors and other colleagues on client agreements and other legal matters.* Review legal process and coordinate with outside legal counsel as needed.* Provide support to the legal department on ad hoc matters, special projects and overflow work as needs evolve.**Required Qualifications:*** Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.* Admission to New York bar in good standing.* 2-4 years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.**Preferred Qualifications:*** Prior in-house or law firm experience in M&A, general corporate, financial services, asset management, or wealth management a plus.**Skills and Competencies:*** Comfort working independently and prioritizing across a high volume of inbound requests.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.* Strong contract drafting skills, exceptional business acumen, and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to non-lawyers.**Compensation Range:**$160,000 - $180,000**Why Cerity Partners****:**Our people drive our success by working together to deliver exceptional service to our clients.
