We are seeking a warm and dedicated Hospitality Services Specialist to join a healthcare facility in the Midwest region. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and staff alike. As a key member of the team, you will ensure all areas are spotless and comfortable, contributing directly to the quality of care provided.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize patient rooms, including bed making, linen replacement, and supply restocking
  • Perform thorough cleaning duties such as disinfecting patient areas, window washing, floor scrubbing, furniture moving, and mattress changing
  • Maintain cleanliness in common areas like waiting rooms, lobbies, and hallways
  • Care for hospital floors including carpets and entryways, operating and maintaining cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor scrubbers
  • Follow established cleaning protocols to ensure a safe environment
  • Replenish supplies in patient and common areas as needed
  • Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests from staff and patients
  • Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to appropriate personnel
  • Adhere strictly to infection control policies and procedures to prevent germ and bacteria spread
  • Handle hazardous waste, including sharps and biohazardous materials, following proper disposal procedures
  • Demonstrate awareness of infection, electrical, steam, chemical, dust, environmental, and disinfectant hazards
  • Collect and dispose of soiled linens hygienically
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
Requirements
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy loads up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Effective time management with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
