Behavioral Health Technician Midwest Center-Youngstown

Amatus Health is seeking compassionate and dependable Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to join our team. As a BHT, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals throughout their recovery journey by helping maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.

• High School Diploma or GED required

• CDCA required

• Valid Driver's License required

• Experience in behavioral health, mental health, or substance use treatment preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations

• Assist with client admissions, orientations, and transportation needs.

• Monitor client activities and maintain a safe treatment environment.

• Observe and report changes in clients' physical, emotional, or behavioral condition.

• Conduct routine client accountability checks and monitor family visits.

• Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation when necessary.

• Complete shift reports, documentation, and daily checklists.

• Support medical and clinical staff as needed.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the facility.

• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development.

Protect client privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations, company policies, and all applicable federal and state laws.
