Sr Manager/ Director Budgets

Location and Schedule Job Location: Fort Worth, TX Other Potential Locations: Fort Worth, TX Anticipated Start Date: 08/03/2026 Number of Positions: 1 Work Arrangement: This is a full-time position located in Fort Worth, TX. Some roles may offer one day per week remote work. Our leaders support work-life balance and flexibility when life happens. Responsibilities Lead a team that supports a variety of Budget areas, including Equipment Rents, Joint Facilities, Haulage, and Passenger Services. Serve as a Budget Subject Matter Expert for Equipment Rents and Passenger Services. Develop and monitor processes, models, and reports to accurately monitor and forecast expenses. Perform balance sheet accruals, analysis support, metric reporting, and other projects for business partners using various tools. Lead/facilitate monthly budget reviews and forecasts with assigned operations groups, including the VP Service Design. Assist in the development of performance measures, strategic initiatives, and annual plans. Possess strong communication capabilities to ensure Finance Leadership understands variances across time frames. Contribute to a high-morale, high-performance culture and effectively organize team efforts to meet deadlines. Daily work conducted in an indoors office environment. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. Minimum of 4 years of work experience in a finance-related field. Expert understanding of GAAP and ability to research accounting issues to determine proper treatment. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to handle multiple demands and shifting priorities; capable of respectfully challenging conclusions when appropriate. Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills. Preferred Qualifications: CPA and/or public accounting experience. Master’s Degree in accounting or business administration. Benefits Industry-leading 401(k) and Railroad Retirement program.
