Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach

Overview Assistant Women’s Volleyball Coach at West Texas A&M University, reporting to the Head Coach and providing coaching and administrative assistance within the Athletics Department. The role includes scouting and recruitment of student‑athletes, overseeing conditioning and training, monitoring academic progress and eligibility, and supporting game planning and strategy. Responsibilities Plan and conduct coaching of games and practices – team instruction, game planning, and individual skill instruction. Assist with scouting, film review, and game‑planning for opposing teams. Screen and evaluate college‑bound student athletes for recruitment. Monitor academic progress and eligibility status of enrolled student athletes. Participate in public relations activities, fundraising, and special projects assigned by the Head Coach. Maintain compliance with required System, University, and job‑specific online training courses. Perform general administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience coaching volleyball. Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle within Texas A&M System guidelines. Ability to pass the NCAA Recruiting Test annually. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree; prior collegiate‑level playing or coaching experience; knowledge of NCAA regulations.
