Job Summary Registered Nurse (RN) – Pre‑Surgical Evaluation – part‑time at CHI St. Alexius Health, Bismarck, ND. 56 hours biweekly, day shift, no weekends or holidays. $12,500 sign‑on bonus. About The Role We’re looking for a detail‑oriented, organized RN to join our Pre‑Surgical Evaluation team. In this role, you’ll help patients feel informed, prepared, and confident before surgery. You’ll complete pre‑op assessments, review medical histories, coordinate care, and ensure patients are medically ready before they arrive in surgery. What You’ll Do Complete pre‑surgical nursing assessments and patient screenings Review medical history, medications, labs, and pre‑op testing Educate patients on what to expect before surgery and answer questions Identify potential concerns and collaborate with providers to ensure safe surgical planning Coordinate with surgical teams, providers, and departments to keep care running smoothly Document assessments and patient communication accurately and efficiently Support a calm, compassionate experience for patients before surgery Job Requirements RN license in ND or compact state Strong communication and critical thinking skills Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to multitask independently Comfortable working with patients over the phone and in clinical settings BLS certification required within orientation period Previous nursing experience preferred, especially in surgical services, pre‑op, PACU, clinic, or acute care Benefits Pay Range: $35.38 – $50.69 per hour.
