Registered Nurse Ambulatory Care/Clinic/Outpatient

Job Summary:

Provide comprehensive pre-surgical nursing care in an outpatient clinic setting, ensuring patient readiness and safety prior to procedures. Collaborate with healthcare teams to facilitate smooth patient flow and effective clinical protocols.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess patient condition and review medical history to prepare them for surgery.
  
  
• 
  Administer treatments, medications, and IV therapy with precision.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient vitals and respond promptly to any clinical changes.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients on preoperative instructions and post-care procedures.
  
  
• 
  Document all nursing activities and patient interactions thoroughly.
  
  
• 
  Assist with scheduled holiday coverage, including major and minor holidays as needed.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a valid registered nurse license with a minimum of 2 years of recent perioperative or ambulatory care experience.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Possess NIHSS certification or equivalent neuro assessment skills.
  
  
• 
  Exhibit strong IV skills and proficiency in medication administration.
  
  
• 
  Comply with all facility and safety protocols, including holiday scheduling requirements.
