Per Diem Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Pediatric Hospital Medicine

Winchester, Virginia

Responsibilities:\n

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an experienced, certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to assist with per diem coverage at Winchester Medical Center . This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, well-supported environment providing care to hospitalized children and newborns in a community-focused setting.

Position Highlights

\n

\n
• Provide care in a 17-bed pediatric unit and newborn nursery with approximately 2,400 annual admissions
\n
\n
• Pediatric Floor Average Daily Census: 5
\n
• Newborn Nursery Average Daily Census: 15
\n
\n
• Collaborate closely with pediatric hospitalists in a team-based care model
\n
• Work an 8-hour daytime shift; weekends preferred
\n
• Participate in rounding, patient management, admissions, and discharge planning
\n
• Access subspecialty support through leading institutions
\n
\n
• University of Virginia (UVA)
\n
• INOVA
\n
• Children s National Hospital
\n
\n
• Pediatrix also provides onsite NICU services , supporting continuity across levels of care

About You

\n

\n
• Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
\n
• Experience in pediatrics, newborn care, or hospital medicine preferred
\n
• Strong clinical judgement and decision-making skills
\n
• Team oriented with excellent communication abilities
\n
• Committed to delivering family-centered, high-quality care
\n

Qualifications:\n

• Current APRN national specialty certification
\n
• Minimum of a master s degree
\n
• Must have an active VA license
\n
