About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Hospice Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum 1 full year of Adult Home Health Experience or 1 full year of Hospice experience depending on the specialty. License: Must have a valid nursing license in hand. Certifications: CPR, BLS Must-Have: Must have recent specialty experience in Hospice. Must be proficient in HomeCare HomeBase EMR and Oasis. Must have a reliable vehicle, driver's license, and auto insurance. Description: Provides, coordinates, and directs home nursing care according to physician’s orders. Care is based on agency policies and procedures through the competent application of the nursing process. Responsible to the Clinical Manager. Directly supervises and evaluates Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses/Licensed Vocational Nurses. Home visits are required. Periodic office meetings will be held. Transportation is necessary, and agency-required liability insurance must be maintained. The average number of patients seen per day is 5-8. Contractor will be assigned between 5-10 patients per day. Each visit and activity holds a different point value with 30 points expected per week. Types of cases include Start of Care, Wound Care, Follow-up Visits, etc. Open to travel up to 75 miles from the assigned care center. Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate. All documentation must be completed within 24 hours of the patient appointment. Delayed or incomplete documentation that impacts billing will not be accepted. Clinicians must accept every patient on their schedule, regardless of proximity to previous appointments. There are no guaranteed hours with this contract. Clinicians must meet weekly productivity points of 30, equating to approximately 40 hours per week. Overtime must be pre-approved. Traveler status is accepted at the same rate as local candidates. Must be available for on-call rotations twice a week. All candidates must have proficiency in related charting systems and recent experience.
