Skylo’s direct-to-device service is live across five continents, working with satellite operators, mobile network operators, chipset manufacturers, OEMs, and other partners to bring satellite connectivity to everyday devices. Summary of How You Will Impact Skylo We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join Skylo’s Finance team and support the accounting operations of a growing global technology company. You will play a key role in the monthly close, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, and day-to-day accounting operations. You will work closely with the broader Finance team and cross-functional partners to ensure our financial records are accurate, timely, and scalable as the business continues to grow. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys getting into the details while also looking for ways to improve processes and build stronger accounting infrastructure. Responsibilities Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and other general ledger activity Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash, fixed assets, and other accounting activities as needed Review financial activity and investigate unusual transactions or variances Support preparation of monthly financial statements and management reporting Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation in accordance with GAAP Assist with annual audits, tax filings, and other compliance requirements by preparing schedules and supporting documentation Partner with FP&A, People, Legal, Procurement, and other teams to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and timely Help maintain and strengthen accounting policies, internal controls, and documentation Identify opportunities to automate or streamline manual accounting processes Support implementation and improvement of finance systems and workflows as Skylo scales Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and accounting projects What We Look For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 5+ years of relevant accounting experience Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles Experience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger accounting Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills High attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple priorities Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, evolving environment Nice to Have CPA or progress toward CPA certification Experience at a high-growth technology company Experience with SaaS, telecommunications, hardware, or other technology businesses Experience with ERP and financial systems such as NetSuite Experience supporting audits and implementing accounting controls Experience working with international entities or global accounting operations What Makes This Role Exciting Skylo is building a new category of global connectivity at the intersection of wireless, satellite, cloud, and consumer technology. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant training. In addition to base salary, Skylo offers a competitive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and equity options.
