Packaging Supervisor – Food Manufacturing

Location: McDonough, GA
Salary: $75,000–$85,000 annually
Bonus: 8%
Schedule: Primarily 1st Shift, approximately 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Work Location: On-Site

We are seeking an experienced Packaging Supervisor to lead production employees in a high-speed packaging environment in McDonough, Georgia.

This position is responsible for day-to-day production leadership, employee staffing and development, safety, quality, training, and production-line efficiency. The Packaging Supervisor will work closely with Maintenance and other support departments to keep equipment operational, minimize downtime, and achieve production goals.

Candidates must have previous food or beverage manufacturing experience and experience supervising high-speed packaging operations . Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience may also be considered. Bottling experience is highly preferred.

• Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to production employees.
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels based on production requirements.
• Coach, train, and develop production employees and Team Leaders.
• Build and maintain strong employee motivation, teamwork, and morale.
• Ensure employees are properly trained for assigned production operations.
• Ensure compliance with company safety procedures, SOPs, and GMPs.
• Address employee conflicts and disciplinary matters when required.
• Work closely with Maintenance to ensure packaging equipment is properly maintained and operating efficiently.
• Monitor production-line performance and maintain targeted production efficiency.
• Coordinate with supporting departments to resolve production and operational issues.
• Establish performance measures and coach production teams toward established objectives.
• Conduct regular communication meetings with Team Leaders and production employees.
• Recognize team successes and develop action plans to address performance issues.
• Analyze production reports and operating data to identify adverse trends.
• Develop and implement corrective action plans.
• Support Lean manufacturing and continuous-improvement initiatives.

• Previous food or beverage manufacturing experience required.
• Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience may also be considered.
• Previous supervisory experience in a high-speed packaging environment required.
• Previous team-management experience required.
• Bottling experience highly preferred.
• Strong Lean manufacturing background preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience working with Maintenance to address equipment and production-line issues.
• Knowledge of manufacturing safety procedures, SOPs, and GMPs.
• Ability to analyze production performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Must be flexible to provide coverage for other shifts as needed.
• Ability to work occasional weekends as required.

The position offers a $75,000–$85,000 annual base salary plus an 8% bonus .

The position is primarily first shift , with typical hours of approximately 6:00 AM–2:30 PM . Some flexibility is required to provide coverage for other shifts, along with occasional weekend work.
