Veterinary Assistant - Part Time Blue Springs Animal Hospital & Pet Resort is seeking a part-time Veterinary Assistant in Blue Springs, Missouri to join our team of dedicated veterinary professionals. Veterinary Assistants are valuable members of our medical teams and play a crucial role in patient care and client service. You will work closely with doctors and technicians to increase hospital efficiency and provide exceptional patient care. Come thrive in a supportive environment that encourages learning and continued growth within the veterinary profession! Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Animal handling and restraint
• Assist doctors and technicians with medical treatments, diagnostic tests, and procedures
• Obtain medical history from clients and ensure documentation is accurate and complete
• Maintain cleanliness of treatment and patient areas
• Restock and organize medical supplies
• Continue to advance knowledge base and skill set

Skills and Qualifications:

• 2 years of professional experience in a veterinary clinical setting (CSR, kennel attendant, vet assistant, other), preferred
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to problem solve
• Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm manner
• Prioritize tasks effectively
• A team player, have patience and maintain a positive attitude
