Role Summary

We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to support aircraft electrical design, testing, certification, and substantiation activities. The role will involve working on STC/PMA projects, cabin safety, aircraft certification, testing, and customer troubleshooting .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop electrical test plans, checklists, inspection plans, and test reports .
• Prepare substantiation reports and certification documentation for aircraft cabin safety.
• Support STC/PMA projects related to electrical requirements and certification deliverables.
• Coordinate with suppliers, DERs, certification teams, and regulatory agencies to resolve technical and airworthiness issues.
• Identify major design changes affecting aircraft electrical systems and certification.
• Support aircraft certification and compliance activities for Airbus and Boeing aircraft .
• Interface with airline customers during flight testing, laboratory testing, and troubleshooting activities.
• Prepare technical presentations and participate in engineering/customer meetings.
• Support project coordination and ensure timely completion of engineering deliverables.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• B.S. in Aerospace, Electrical Engineering , or a related technical field.
• 4 7 years of engineering experience ; internships/co-op experience may be considered.
• Experience or knowledge of aircraft design, certification, and substantiation processes .
• Knowledge of Airbus and Boeing aircraft processes .
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or DraftSight .
• Strong MS Office and technical documentation skills.
• Familiarity with aircraft mechanical/structural design, materials, fabrication methods, and aerospace hardware .
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of aircraft interiors and cabin systems .
• Experience as a Design Engineer or Substantiation Engineer .
• Working knowledge of FAR regulations and aircraft certification .
• Experience working with DERs, STC/PMA, flight testing, or certification authorities .
