Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cardiopulmonary/Respiratory Therapist with at least 2 years of experience for a 13-week day shift assignment in Colorado, serving a diverse patient population from newborn to geriatric.

Details

• Hospital-based setting serving emergency, inpatient, and outpatient populations
• Patient population ranges from newborns to geriatric patients
• Performs cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures and delivers all modalities of respiratory care from basic to advanced
• Day shift: 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Respiratory Therapist (RT) license in the state of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date — license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of well-rounded RT experience with a diverse patient population
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification preferred
• Experience with high-risk deliveries and neonates preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred
• Candidate must be healthy enough to safely function at high altitude (approximately 8,000 ft elevation)
• DOB and SSN may be required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides respiratory care across all hospital areas including emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings
• No RTO (time off) is accepted for this assignment
• The position is located at a high-altitude facility; candidates must be able to safely work in a low-oxygen environment
• Housing is the traveler's responsibility — the area is notably expensive, with surrounding towns such as Basalt, Carbondale, and Glenwood Springs offering more affordable options compared to the immediate area
