Learn more about who we are at Point32Health.Job SummarySr LMF Underwriter will report to the Director of Underwriting. Duties include but are not limited to: preparation of FI, ASO and LMF large group quotations for new business opportunities and renewals for existing customers of company Plan; maintaining all necessary logs and reporting associated with groups underwritten; interaction with the sales and account management teams; training of other UW staff on LMF best practices; peer review of rates prepared; and other projects identified by management. The successful candidate will exhibit and implement a sound understanding of risk and underwriting methodologies to achieve desired membership and profit targets. The individual will need to be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team environment with strong follow-up, organization/prioritization skills, and excellent attention to detail. The individual is required to maintain confidential information/correspondence and be responsible for meeting extremely tight deadlines. Sr LMF Underwriter should independently manage essential functions, teach those skills to staff, prioritize them and seek assistance from Point32Health UW management team members. These functions need to be performed on a consistent and regular basis, using strong judgment. Requires the ability to learn and apply all company Plan policies consistently. The Sr LMF Underwriter is expected to seek guidance from Underwriting management when appropriate.
