Innovate in Charlotte This position is based at our on‑site Tech Hub in Charlotte, North Carolina. Lowe's Tech Hub is an ultramodern work environment, complete with cutting‑edge technology, collaborative workspaces, an on‑site barista and Zen Garden, and other perks to enhance your work experience. Key Responsibilities Partner with product teams to translate complex business requirements into logical program designs, AI‑powered Android solutions, and maintainable code modules using Kotlin, MVVM/MVI, and Jetpack Compose. Design, build, and configure integrated enterprise applications across computing environments, leveraging component‑based architectures and modern Android frameworks to ensure scalability and resilience. Apply test‑driven and behavior‑driven development practices, conduct root cause analysis, and participate in code reviews to deliver robust, efficient, and maintainable applications with strong observability. Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation tools to optimize the development lifecycle, improve deployment efficiency, and support reliable delivery at scale. Ideate, build, and publish reusable libraries, evaluate emerging AI technologies and frameworks, and continuously improve processes to accelerate team productivity and solution quality. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree) and 2 years of experience in software development or a related field. 2 years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC) through iterative agile development. 2 years experience working with any of the following: frontend technologies (user interface/user experience), middleware (microservices and application programming interfaces), database technologies, or DevOps. Preferred Skills/Experience We encourage you to apply even if you do not have all the preferred skills or experience. 2 years of experience writing technical documentation in a software environment and developing and implementing business systems within an organization.
