Responsibilities Greet and make friendly eye contact and offer a warm and professional acknowledgement when the hospital entry door opens. Offer a friendly smile, strong eye contact, and an approachable demeanor. Act as a compassionate listener. Speak clearly, slowly and calmly in person and on the telephone so clients easily understand you. Assess each client’s needs and the pet’s general condition immediately upon arrival. Determine whether an emergency arrival is a “stat” versus a “standard” emergency. Respond to non‑patient calls or visitors and connect them to the appropriate team member. Confirm all appointments in advance to ensure clients receive accurate information about preparing their pet for the appointment. Offer emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients in a compassionate and discreet manner. Serve as a liaison between clients and service agencies during handling of pet remains, ensuring a complete, accurate and compassionate process. Why BluePearl? Our passion is pets.
