Medical Records Clerk

Candidate will need to be in the San Diego CA area Job Description: We are seeking a Medical Records Collector to join our team in San Diego, CA . This role is integral to our annual audit and other Medical Record projects. The Medical Records Collector will work collaboratively with providers to collect medical records through various methods, including phone calls, fax, mail, electronic medical record systems, and direct onsite pick-ups. This position will support the collection process and upload the records into our internal database. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the annual audit and other Medical Record audits by organizing and executing provider outreach for medical record collection. Coordinate the pursuit and collection of medical records and data, working alongside other Medical Record staff. Support project management efforts by ensuring medical records are collected and uploaded into the Medical Record application. Engage in phone, fax, mail, electronic medical record system retrieval, and onsite collection of provider medical records. Participate in meetings with vendors to ensure the medical record collection process is running efficiently. Maintain proper documentation of collected records and ensure accurate data entry. Required Education & Experience: Education : High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience : Minimum of 1 year of medical record collection experience . At least 1 year of experience in managed care . Preferred Experience: 2 years of Medical Record data collection experience . Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong organizational and project coordination skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with various teams and stakeholders. Comfortable working with different types of media (fax, mail, phone, etc.) to collect medical records. Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Familiarity with medical record applications and data entry. Why Join Us?
