Desktop Support Supervisor

Desktop Support Supervisor Location: Union City, NJ (On-Site) About the Opportunity Our client is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of its IT support team. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for ensuring exceptional technical support while mentoring a team of desktop support professionals in a fast-paced educational environment. The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader with excellent communication skills who is fluent in both English and Spanish and has experience supporting users in a school or educational setting. Responsibilities Supervise and mentor a team of Desktop Support Technicians Assign, prioritize, and monitor daily support requests to ensure timely resolution Provide hands‑on desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral support when needed Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and end‑user issues Support Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and common business applications Manage user accounts, permissions, and workstation deployments Coordinate equipment installations, upgrades, and replacements Ensure IT support tickets are resolved within established service levels Maintain accurate documentation of support activities and IT assets Partner with school administrators, faculty, and staff to deliver outstanding customer service Assist with IT projects, technology rollouts, and classroom technology support Qualifications 5+ years of Desktop Support experience 2+ years of experience leading or supervising an IT support team Fluent in both English and Spanish (required) Previous experience working in a K-12 school, school district, college, or educational environment is highly preferred Strong knowledge of: Windows 10/11 Microsoft 365 Active Directory Desktop and laptop hardware Printers and peripherals Basic networking concepts Experience with ticketing systems and IT asset management Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills Strong customer service mindset with the ability to support both technical and non‑technical users Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting classroom technology Experience with Google Workspace for Education Knowledge of audiovisual classroom equipment CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus Why Join?
