TIG Welder

This position is for an experienced TIG Welder to join a growing manufacturing team in Fairfield, where you will weld and fabricate high-quality metal components used in precision-built products. You will use your TIG welding expertise and blueprint reading skills to produce clean, accurate welds while supporting a safe, efficient, and organized production environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals to meet specifications and quality standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions to plan and execute welding and fabrication tasks.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, power tools, grinders, and other fabrication machinery safely and effectively.
• Fit, align, and assemble components prior to welding to ensure proper dimensions and alignment.
• Inspect finished welds for quality, appearance, and dimensional accuracy, making adjustments as needed.
• Measure materials using tape measures, calipers, and other precision tools to confirm correct dimensions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area by following all company safety procedures and best practices.
• Collaborate closely with production and fabrication teams to meet quality, productivity, and delivery goals.

Essential Skills

• At least 3 years of TIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Proven ability to weld thin-gauge materials with a high level of precision and consistency.
• Hands-on experience welding stainless steel and aluminum.
• Strong blueprint reading skills, including the ability to interpret weld symbols and fabrication drawings.
• Demonstrated fabrication skills in a machine shop or sheet metal fabrication environment.
• Proficiency using measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers, and performing basic quality inspections.
• Ability to set up and operate TIG welding equipment, fabrication machinery, and power tools safely.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods during the shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in fabrication machine shop environments, including welding, machining, and sheet metal fabrication.
• Background using power tools, grinders, and other fabrication equipment.
• Familiarity with quality inspection processes in an industrial manufacturing setting.
• AWS certification is a plus but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing clean, accurate welds.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a production and fabrication team.

Work Environment

This role is based in an industrial manufacturing environment in Fairfield, CA. You will work on-site in a fabrication and machine shop setting that uses TIG welding equipment, fabrication machinery, power tools, grinders, and precision measuring instruments. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with work performed on your feet for extended periods and regular lifting of up to 50 lbs. The environment emphasizes adherence to safety procedures, cleanliness, and organization while working around industrial equipment and metal fabrication processes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairfield, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
