Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
Providing specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods, ensuring patient safety and comfort. This role requires collaboration with healthcare teams to support optimal outcomes for mothers and newborns.

Responsibilities:

• Administer patient care for labor and delivery patients, monitoring vital signs and labor progress.
• Assist in childbirth procedures, including preparing delivery rooms and supporting physicians.
• Educate patients on maternity and postpartum care, including newborn care instructions.
• Document patient information accurately in compliance with hospital policies.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, providing critical interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in Tennessee or the ability to obtain licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience.
• CPR and NRP certifications required.
• Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism.
• Strong communication and patient advocacy skills.
• Knowledge of current labor and postpartum nursing practices.
