Job Summary: Registered Nurse (Emergency Room) Susanville, CA. The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care in accordance with professional nursing standards and organizational policies. The role requires applying specialized nursing knowledge and judgment to support care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients, including collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in the state of practice, or compact RN licensure for the current state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required); Ability to assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs, and support discharge planning; Ability to formulate a plan of care based on assessment data and patient needs; Ability to implement the plan of care through direct patient care and coordination, delegation, and supervision of the health care teams activities; Ability to evaluate the patients and familys response to care and teaching and revise the plan of care as needed; Ability to document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record in accordance with policy
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree preferred; Professional certification preferred
• Additional Information:
  • Performs nursing care using evidence-based practice and may participate in research activities within clinical practice.
  • May participate in unit or facility shared leadership and support education, role development, and orientation for facility personnel, patients, students, families, and visitors.
  • In some roles, may supervise staff and work flow of the department.
  • Must use standard precautions due to the threat of exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
  • Physical requirements include frequently standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, stretching, and using proper body mechanics for patient mobility and transfers; may require lifting up to 75 pounds.
  • A valid fingerprint clearance card may be required at time of hire and must be maintained for employment, depending on assignment location.
