Job Requirements (Qualifications) Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or compact state (required) BLS and ACLS (required) NIH Stroke Certification (required) Dysrhythmia Exam (required; study guide available) Minimum 1 year RN experience (required); acute care hospital experience preferred 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred) EPIC EHR experience, Critical Care Course, CCRN or PCCN (preferred) Key Responsibilities Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and develop individualized care plans as a PCU nurse Administer medications safely and accurately, including IV push medications Monitor and titrate cardiac drips (Cardizem, heparin, amiodarone) and manage telemetry for dysrhythmias Provide care for cardiac, surgical, and respiratory patients, including post-op drains and wound vacs Coordinate patient care and communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams Serve as a patient safety advocate and participate in quality improvement initiatives Respond confidently to rapidly changing patient conditions and medical emergencies in a stepdown/PCU setting Document accurately in the electronic health record (EPIC experience preferred) Deliver compassionate, relationship-based care that supports patients and families during transitions of care Why This Travel Nursing Job?
