Advanced Planning Attorney + Manager – Employee (Trusts + Estates) – Hybrid The Opportunity A well-established Atlanta-based law firm is seeking an experienced manager and Advanced Planning Attorney. Candidates with an established book of business can expand their practice offerings by engaging with others in the firm to support other areas of expertise. The arrangement combines autonomy, flexibility, and access to fi rm resources and support, while leading an experienced planning team. Our client base includes high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners. Responsibilities: Forge and maintain relationships with business partners and clients. Oversee team (attorneys, paralegals) to ensure projects are completed properly and timely. Draft and implement sophisticated estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney. Advise clients on complex tax strategies to minimize estate tax liability and optimize wealth transfer. Develop and implement succession plans for family businesses and high-net-worth individuals. Coordinate with clients, their advisors, and fi rm attorneys to deliver seamless solutions. Collaborate internally with other practice areas for client benefit, where possible. Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of experience in trusts & estates and advanced estate planning. LLM in Taxation is required. Established, sustainable book of business in trusts & estates. Expertise in estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer taxes. Excellent communication and client relationship skills. Ability to work independently while engaging with other attorneys as needed.
