Your day to day as a Delivery Driver

As a Full-Time Delivery Driver at Upper Lakes Foods, in Cloquet, MN, you’ll be the backbone of our logistics team! Your day will start with essential pre-trip responsibilities, reviewing your itinerary, checking customer invoices, and ensuring all trailers meet safety standards according to DOT regulations. Then, you'll hit the road, delivering customer orders on time while maintaining a robust productivity rate.

Unloading products with precision using a two-wheeler and organizing them in designated storage areas will be part of your routine. Your post-trip duties will include managing damaged goods, paperwork, and performing vital safety checks on your vehicle. You'll also fuel up and secure the tractor/trailer, keeping our operations running smoothly. Building strong relationships within the team and community will be key to your role as you demonstrate your commitment to excellence and integrity in every delivery!

To thrive as a Full-Time Delivery Driver at Upper Lakes Foods, in Cloquet, MN, you'll need a blend of technical skills, experience, and a customer-focused attitude. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, along with at least one year of experience in a transportation role, preferably with three years of CDL driving experience. Food product delivery experience is a plus, but we’ll happily train the right candidate.

You must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A and demonstrate solid math skills to handle customer transactions accurately. Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English is essential for safety compliance. A working knowledge of GPS and routing software will help you navigate efficiently. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to adapt communication styles are vital, as is a willingness to work in various weather conditions while adhering to safety regulations.

Being physically fit to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and manage up to 500 pounds with a two-wheel cart is also crucial. Your dedication to maintaining a good driving record will keep our deliveries safe and seamless!
