UI/UX Designer

Seeking a full-time remote UI/UX Designer, the candidate will apply Human Centered Design principles to develop user-centric applications for the Department of Veterans Affairs, focusing on usability, accessibility, and compliance with Section 508. Key responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business and technical requirements into effective UI/UX solutions Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using Figma to communicate design concepts Serve as a subject-matter resource on UI/UX accessibility, providing guidance on design practices and compliance Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer with a portfolio showcasing accessible design work Strong understanding of Human Centered Design principles in complex environments Experience advising teams on Section 508 compliance and designing accessible user interfaces Proficiency with Figma and experience working in Agile development teams Virtual Vocations Inc
