What You'll Do
- Provide comprehensive cardiac telemetry nursing care for patients with MI, CHF, arrhythmias, PVD, and overflow med-surg cases
- Administer and monitor medications and IV drips, including cardiac medications
- Perform assessments, diagnoses, planning, interventions, and evaluations following ANA standards
- Document patient history, treatments, and progress accurately
- Educate patients and families regarding care plans and treatment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Manage a nurse/patient ratio of 5:1 (occasionally 6:1) in a fast-paced environment
What You Need
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred)
- 1+ year of relevant nursing experience (preferred)
- Active RN license in Louisiana or valid compact license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
- Ability to work independently with clinical judgment and professionalism
