About the Role:
Woodbine Inn and Restaurant in Madisonville, TX is looking for a talented and passionate Line Cook to join our kitchen team. - Prepare and execute menu items consistently according to restaurant recipes and standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift
- Manage food prep tasks including chopping, portioning, marinating, and cooking
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth, timely ticket execution during service
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and proper storage to minimize waste
- Follow all food safety and health code regulations at all times
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties as assigned
- Previous experience as a line cook, prep cook, or in a similar kitchen role preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper handling procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Food Handler's Certification is a plus or willingness to obtain one
- Complete a Background Check
- Ability to work every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 1:00p until closing
- Ability to work day-shifts on holidays such as Easter, Mother's Day, and Thanksgiving
