Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is responsible for leading key accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, supporting the monthly and year-end close process, and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger. The ideal candidate has strong GAAP knowledge, manufacturing or cost accounting experience, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close process while ensuring accurate general ledger reporting and GAAP compliance. Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, financial analyses, and supporting schedules. Manage fixed asset accounting, capital expenditures, depreciation, and related reconciliations. Oversee accounting for customer rebate programs, promotions, and other sales-related financial activities. Perform cash, banking, and balance sheet reconciliations while maintaining strong internal controls. Support cost accounting, inventory analysis, and manufacturing accounting activities. Review and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions to ensure accuracy and timely processing. Review work prepared by accounting staff, provide guidance, and support ongoing process improvements. Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI, and advanced Excel to analyze financial data, improve reporting, and support management decision-making. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred. Manufacturing and/or cost accounting experience strongly preferred. CPA or CPA-track preferred. Experience reviewing or supervising accounting staff is a plus. Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience with Power BI preferred. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Office products industry experience is a plus.
