A Place at Home - Little Rock is looking for a non-medical in home caregiver. The On-Call Caregiver is responsible for being available to provide immediate caregiving support when scheduled caregivers are unavailable, call off, or when emergency client coverage is needed. This role ensures continuity of care for clients by stepping in on short notice while maintaining professionalism, compassion, and high-quality care standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Available & Responsive:

  • Remain available during assigned "on-call" hours. (Friday 5pm-Monday 7am)

  • Respond promptly to calls, texts, or messages regarding shifts.

  • Prepared to travel to client in our service area (Little Rock, Benton, North Little Rock, Jacksonville, Maumelle, etc.)

• Client Care:

  • Provide non-medical in home care services...

    • Examples of care: personal care, assistance with mobility and transfers, meal prep, medication reminders, light housekeeping, assisting with errands as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must meet all state requirements for non-medical caregivers.

• Ability to travel to different client locations.

• Ability to respond to coverage needs on short notice.

• Reporting to shift within 30 minutes of the call

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently.

• Minimum of 1 year caregiving experience or CNA/PCA certificate.

• Rotating weekends (working two weekends a month)

• Valid Driver’s License

• Able to pass a criminal background check

• Able to pass a drug screening

• OK to be at any house (one with dogs, cats, smokers, non-smokers, etc.)

WORK SCHEDULE:

• On-Call Caregivers must remain available during their assigned on-call shifts.

• May include evenings, overnight hours, weekends, and holidays depending on agency needs.

COMPENSATION SUMMARY:

• $25.00 a day (=$75 for weekend) to be available - whether you are called or not! (Friday at 5pm - Monday at 7a) WITH AN ADDITIONAL $17 per hour when filling shifts for call outs, emergency fill-ins, etc.

• If you choose to work throughout the week you would be paid at a non-emergency caregiver rate.
