Abacus Technology is seeking a Site Manager to oversee a team of telecommunications technicians providing support for the Base Telecommunication Services through repairing, replacing, programming, and maintaining equipment and cables. This is a full-time position at Joint Base Charleston. Responsibilities include:

• Providing customer support, assistance, and orientation for telephony infrastructure systems utilized by Joint Base Charleston.
• Interacting with users to repair, replace, program, and maintain all switches, peripherals, software, hardware configurations, and communication networking equipment ensuring proper system operation.
• Providing technical assistance to current and potential users to mitigate IT systems operations disruptions.
• Providing technical hands-on and remote access assistance with telephone installations, hardware configurations, and communication networking.
• Administering customer voicemail accounts and providing initial orientation to new customers.
• Creating and deleting user accounts, assigning and resetting passwords.
• Managing infrastructure devices and systems using the latest approved software tools.
• Participating in meetings, discussions, committees, or special IT projects as needed.
• Analyzing areas of concern, identifying problems, and resolving conflicts as they arise.
• Reviewing, updating, and generating documents supporting the communication systems.

Qualifications: 3+ years experience providing inside plant support for telephone or telecommunication systems. Must be Security+ certified. Extensive experience with Avaya switches as well as related switch concepts. Experience in telephony and cable systems architecture, integration techniques, and testing methods. Experience leading a team and providing direction to team members. Able to analyze complexities of existing technology, understanding of maintenance and administration position testing applications, and be able to read, assess, and understand testing results. May be required to crawl under/behind customer work environments to gain access networking equipment. Must be a US citizen and hold a Secret clearance.
