Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Make a meaningful difference as a travel OT in Williamsburg, VA. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to help patients in a skilled nursing facility regain or improve daily skills following injury, illness, or disability. This position involves evaluating functional abilities, developing individualized treatment plans, providing hands-on therapy per physician orders and facility protocols, documenting progress, collaborating with interdisciplinary team members, and educating patients and caregivers to support ongoing safety and function.

Minimum Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree).
• Active Occupational Therapist license in Virginia required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC required.
• Ability to evaluate patients’ functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans in a skilled nursing/long-term care environment.
• Demonstrated ability to document patient progress and maintain accurate treatment records per facility protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with PT, SLP, nursing staff, and families.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• New graduates welcome. (Preferred: experience in skilled nursing or long-term care.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in skilled nursing facility or long-term care settings.
• Experience with common skilled nursing documentation systems and compliance practices.
