Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist for a 13-week assignment requiring 2+ years of Echo-cardiology experience and current ARDMS or ARRT certification.

Details

• Work in the Echocardiology department of a full-service regional medical facility
• Level II Trauma Center with a Level 1 ICU and the region's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
• Patient population ranges from neonatal to geriatric, primarily cardiac cases undergoing ultrasound testing
• Patients can be of high acuity with regular exposure to body fluids and blood
• Facility operates 7 days a week
• Day shift from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Scheduled call required at night and on weekends

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience or an accredited course in Echo-cardiology
• Current registry or certification in Adult Echo required
• Current registry or certification in vascular ultrasound required
• Must be working toward attaining registries in all accredited areas
• Pediatric experience required
• ARDMS or ARRT certification required
• BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform echocardiogram and vascular ultrasound procedures on cardiac patients
• Role can be stressful due to the stat nature of procedures performed
• Must be a team player and flexible
• Follow assigned unit dress code and maintain a professional image
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
