Project Manager

Utility Project Manager – Transmission, Distribution & Substation We are seeking an experienced Utility Project Manager to lead and manage Transmission, Distribution, and Substation capital projects from project initiation through commissioning, energization, and closeout. This individual will work closely with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, operations, contractors, and utility stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. Key Responsibilities Manage transmission, distribution, and substation projects from initiation through project closeout. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and execution strategies. Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations teams throughout the project lifecycle. Manage project scope, risks, change orders, and stakeholder expectations. Monitor project performance and ensure key milestones are achieved safely, on time, and within budget. Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to utility leadership, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders. Coordinate outage planning, material procurement, permitting, and construction sequencing. Review engineering deliverables, construction progress, schedules, and contractor performance. Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize schedule delays and cost impacts. Ensure compliance with utility standards, environmental regulations, safety requirements, and company policies. Support project commissioning, energization, turnover, and final acceptance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field preferred. Experience managing utility transmission, distribution, and/or substation capital projects . Strong knowledge of project management principles, including scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management. Experience coordinating cross-functional teams, contractors, engineering groups, and utility stakeholders. Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills. PMP certification is highly preferred.
