Medical Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in Harlingen, TX. The ideal candidate will provide clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office and high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities Greet and prepare patients for examination, taking vital signs and medical histories. Assist physicians during patient examinations and procedures. Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician. Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. Schedule patient appointments and maintain accurate patient records. Handle patient billing and insurance documentation. Ensure examination rooms and medical equipment are clean and properly stocked. Provide patient education and instructions as directed by healthcare providers. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is a plus. Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems. Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures. This position is based in a medical office setting in Harlingen, TX.
