The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members.To show our commitment to you and to assist with your transition into our organization, we may offer relocation when applicable.Registered Nurse Cath Lab- Intermountain Health St. Vincent HospitalJob Description:The Registered Nurse (RN) in our Cardiac Cath lab will:React calmly and accurately in a high stress, fast-paced environmentFunction capably and respectfully as part of an interdisciplinary teamAssess, recognize, and address patients' rapidly changing needsFollow hospital, regulatory, and professional guidelines, policies, and proceduresShift Details:40 hours a week; 4 10-hour shiftsShare on call obligations (requires 30-minute response time)Regular Lab hours are 7:30am-6:00pm Monday- Friday( open to shift negotiations).Call hours 6:00pm-7:30am with 24-hour coverage Saturday, Sunday and holidaysThe hourly range for this position is $35.70 - $52.25. Your hourly rate is based upon your experienceUnit Details:Facilities include 2 Cath Labs, 1 Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, 1 Vascular Suite, and 1 Hybrid Operating Room.We perform approximately 350 procedures per month, covering a wide range of interventions such as:Cardiac procedures: Diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, Impella support.Electrophysiology: Arrhythmia ablations, SVT, atrial fibrillation, Aflutter, Farapulse technology, Watchman device implantation.Structural heart interventions: TAVR, Triclip, MitraClip, ASD and PFO closures.Vascular procedures: Endovascular, peripheral interventions, EVAR, TAVAR, TEVAR.All laboratories are equipped with Philips imaging systems and GE Mac-Lab hemodynamic monitoring systems, along with an Acist contrast injection device.Our team is highly proficient with advanced equipment, including Pnumbra, Shockwave, Rotablator, Volcano systems, IVUS, Boston Scientific devices, Impella, balloon pumps, and 3D ICE technology.We foster a collaborative and respectful culture comprising Cardiologists, Electrophysiologists, Vascular Surgeons, and Cardiac Surgeons.Procedures are typically performed by three-person teams consisting of registered nurses and invasive technologists.Documentation is managed using Epic and Mac-Lab systems.The team utilizes a combination of RN-led conscious sedation and anesthesia as appropriate.Minimum QualificationsCurrent license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice. Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment.RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date.Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required as of the job description's last update on 4/27/2025. Employees hired or promoted prior to this date will be held to the minimum requirements that were in place at the time of their promotion or hire.Physical RequirementsOngoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.Location:Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional HospitalWork City:BillingsWork State:MontanaScheduled Weekly Hours:40The hourly range for this position is listed below.
