Audit Supervisor

A growing regional accounting firm is seeking an Audit Supervisor. This role offers a clear path to advancement and a balanced work-from-home and office setup. The position is based in either our West Los Angeles or Woodland Hills offices with relocation support available.The Supervisor serves as the primary contact between the Partner, the client, and the team. Responsible for overseeing multiple auditing and accounting projects, the Supervisor also manages staff, schedules engagements, and nurtures client relationships. Additionally, Supervisors play a key role in business development efforts for the firm.ResponsibilitiesOversees multiple audit and review engagements concurrentlyMaintains regular communication with clients to understand their business and control systemsKeeps the Partner informed of client account developments and proposes solutions for any issuesSchedules engagements effectively and adheres to budgetsReviews financial statements and client deliverablesSupervises and trains senior accountants and staffContributes to staff evaluations, reviews, and performance counselingParticipates in firm's business development initiativesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting or related fieldMinimum of five years experience in public accountingActive CPA license requiredWillingness to travel to client locationsPreferred experience in industries such as manufacturing, technology, or consumer productsTechnical proficiency in areas like Revenue Recognition, Leases, Stock-Based Compensation, and Complex Debt & Financial InstrumentsThorough knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standardsAbility to lead, review, and train staff members effectively
