Family Nurse Practitioner

Exciting full-time Family Nurse Practitioner opportunity in East Ellijay, GA. MainStreet Family Care is growing and we are looking to hire a fast, fun, and friendly FNP to join our team full time. You will provide patient-focused care to help our patients feel better quickly. Services include urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The ideal applicant will be able to lead a small team while working in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care environment. Following onsite orientation and training, you will have several training shifts with existing providers at one of our clinics. You will also receive a complimentary pediatric urgent care course and on‑call provider support to help you with clinical decision making. Our investment in you is unmatched. Scope of Practice You will practice the full scope of your NP training. In urgent care, anything may walk through the door. You will treat babies, kids, adults, and geriatric patients. Using the full scope of practice keeps skills sharp and makes you marketable for future career growth. Leadership You will be the leader on your team. Service to Rural Communities MainStreet clinics serve areas that need access to care. We are open 362 days a year. Because we care for underserved communities, most clinics qualify for tuition and student loan reimbursement grants; we support you through the application process. Responsibilities Diagnosing and treating upper respiratory issues such as cold, flu, strep, COVID. Performing minor procedures (e.g., toenail removal, foreign object removal). Suturing, splinting. General orthopedic evaluation and management. Review of x‑rays (over-read by a radiologist). General dermatology, eye problems, EKG interpretation. Emergency management skills. General GYN expertise. Treating children of all ages. Occupational medicine, telemedicine. Schedule Clinic hours: Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Work a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend. Sample schedule: Week 1: Monday (ON), Tuesday (ON), Wednesday (OFF), Thursday (OFF), Friday (ON), Saturday (ON), Sunday (ON). Week 2: Monday (OFF), Tuesday (OFF), Wednesday (ON), Thursday (ON), Friday (OFF), Saturday (OFF), Sunday (OFF). Qualifications Family Nurse Practitioner board certification required. MSN or higher education required (new graduate friendly). DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (cost covered). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with EMR and Microsoft Office preferred. Compensation and Benefits Health, dental, vision coverage. Malpractice insurance. Starting bonus and bonus incentive. $750 CME allowance per year.
