WSYX/WTTE is on the hunt for a powerhouse General Assignment Reporter —a relentless storyteller with the drive to inform, inspire, and elevate our community. We’re looking for a motivated, energetic, and innovative reporter who’s not afraid to push boundaries and deliver compelling content across platforms. The ideal candidate brings sharp news judgment, standout writing abilities, and a passion for breaking stories. Strong live-shot skills and a fearless, curious mindset are musts. Responsibilities Create, shoot, write, and edit meaningful stories for the station’s newscast that can be used across multiple platforms. Provide news on-air as directed from the news management team. Engage with local community members. Review material for fairness, accuracy, and balance. Work closely with all members of the news team, which would include Producers, Editors, Anchors, News Directors, etc. Qualifications Proven knowledge and experience working with current media creation tools and contemporary newsroom systems. Excel in storytelling across multiple platforms. Strong writing and copy‑editing skills are a must. 3 years of experience as a Reporter.
