Controller

KBW has partnered with a well-established, family-owned manufacturing company seeking an experienced Controller to lead its accounting and finance function. This is a highly visible leadership role that partners directly with ownership to provide strategic financial guidance while overseeing all day-to-day accounting operations. Key Responsibilities Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, including preparation of consolidated financial statements. Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, inventory accounting, and intercompany transactions. Prepare financial reports, variance analyses, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections to support business planning and decision-making. Ensure compliance with GAAP, multi-entity reporting requirements, tax regulations, and internal financial controls. Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, financial institutions, and other business partners. Develop and enhance accounting policies, internal controls, ERP systems, and financial processes to improve efficiency and scalability. Monitor manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, and operational performance while supporting profitability initiatives. Partner with operations, sales, and executive leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations. Support strategic initiatives including acquisitions, business expansion opportunities, and financial modeling. Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Seven or more years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experience as a Controller Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
