Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift 3x12

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, 3 days a week, 12-hour shifts.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering quality care by following nursing care plans and supervising ancillary nursing staff. The RN plays a pivotal role in promoting patient and employee safety while ensuring compliance with all hospital guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to identify teaching needs and goals.
• Document assessments, interventions, and responses in the medical record accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and educate patients/families regarding health care needs.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel, delegating tasks appropriately.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff, adhering to safety policies and procedures.
• Contribute positively to unit dynamics through effective communication and teamwork.
• Assume charge responsibilities as needed following orientation.
• Engage in professional growth through continuing education and self-study.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience highly desired.
