Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

The Encompass Group is partnering with a leading orthopedic healthcare organization in Northwest Indiana to identify a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join its rehabilitation team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced COTA or strong new graduate interested in outpatient orthopedic care.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Implement individualized treatment plans to improve patient function, mobility, and independence.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and activities of daily living.
- Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment.
- Educate patients and families on home exercises, adaptive equipment, splints, braces, and safety techniques.
Qualifications
- Current Indiana COTA license and certification.
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current BLS certification or ability to obtain.
- Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred; strong new graduates encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and treatment techniques.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
