Inpatient Cardiologist Opportunity

Our organization is currently looking for a dedicated and skilled inpatient cardiologist to join the Department of Cardiology at a prestigious academic hospital located on Manhattan's Upper East Side. This role offers a unique chance to deliver outstanding care to a diverse patient base within a facility known for its high-acuity cardiac services, advanced imaging capabilities, and a comprehensive range of interventional, structural, electrophysiology, and heart failure treatments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inpatient cardiology consultations and manage patient care.
• Perform and analyze diagnostic tests, including EKGs, echocardiograms, and stress tests.
• Create and execute treatment plans for patients with various cardiovascular issues.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
• Engage in quality improvement projects and research initiatives.
• Participate in the education and mentorship of medical students and residents.

This academic position is full-time and provides extensive opportunities for clinical practice, research, and teaching. The ideal candidate will possess Board Certification or Eligibility in cardiovascular diseases and echocardiography, along with a solid background in inpatient cardiology. Proficiency in transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) and transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) is essential, while certifications in Nuclear Cardiology and cardiac CT (Level II/III) are preferred.
