Daily Census: 4 procedures per lab Ratios: 1:4 days, 1:3 nights Years of experience REQ: 1 First-timers accepted: Yes Weekend REQ: n/a Certs REQ: BLS, ACLS Skills REQ: Diagnostic Cardiac Cath lab, Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations Adult, IABP Placement/Removal, Impella insertion, Interventional Catheterizations, Left heart catheterization, Pacemaker/Defibrillator lead extraction/removal, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), Pharmacological Stress Test, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, Right heart catheterization, Rotablator atherectomy, Scrub Procedures, Ventricular Assist Device Insertion, Pacemaker Insertion, Assist with Central Line Insertion/management, Blood Product Administration, Implanted Ports - Care and Maintenance, IV infusion pumps, PICC Lines - Care and Maintenance, Starting and maintaining IVs, Activated Clotting Time (ACT), Circulate Procedures, End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, External Compression Devices (C-Clamp, Sandbags), Infection Prevention, Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Laser-assisted procedure, Monitoring Procedural Sedation, Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, Radiation and Laser Safety, Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale, Sheath Removal/Monitoring, Vascular Closure Systems (Perclose, StarClose), Ventilator Management Is on-call REQ? Yes, including weekends, must pull call for SLE and SLS Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Regular floating may be required between departments, units and facilities as needed.
