Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Infection Prevention Nurse for a travel contract assignment. The Infection Prevention Nurse will lead infection prevention and control initiatives by monitoring healthcare-associated infections, implementing evidence-based practices, ensuring regulatory compliance, and educating staff on infection prevention protocols.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented nursing professional who is passionate about patient safety, quality improvement, and reducing infection risks across healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, track, and report healthcare-associated infections.
• Develop and implement infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
• Conduct surveillance activities and analyze infection data and trends.
• Educate clinical staff on infection prevention practices and regulatory standards.
• Perform infection control audits and ensure compliance with CDC, OSHA, and state guidelines.
• Investigate infection outbreaks and implement corrective action plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and prepare reports for leadership and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Infection Prevention experience preferred.
• Knowledge of CDC infection prevention guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience with infection surveillance and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
