CVOR Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a qualified CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dedicated team in a Magnet-designated acute hospital environment. This position focuses on providing optimal patient care in the cardiovascular operating room.

Position Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift: 4x10 Days (40 hours per week)
• Guaranteed Hours: 70 hours per 2 weeks (subject to potential call-offs for 1, 10-hour shift per 2 weeks)

Qualifications

• Years of Experience: Minimum of 1 year in CVOR nursing
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, and an Alaska RN License
• Pending Licenses: Accepted, but preference will be given to candidates with an Alaska RN License in hand
• Local Candidates: Not accepted. Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility

Job Responsibilities

The CVOR RN will be responsible for:

• Assisting with surgical procedures and ensuring proper sterile techniques
• Monitoring patient vital signs and responding to changes during surgery
• Collaborating with the surgical team to facilitate optimal patient outcomes
• Floating within the scope of practice to meet facility needs as required
• Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records using Epic charting software

Work Environment

This is an opportunity to work in a highly regarded Level II Trauma facility with 407 staffed beds. Parking is provided free of charge for all staff.
