Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Day Shift

We are currently seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN's) to join our team! Dayshift: 7AM – 7PM ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure safety for all residents. Assess and document the resident's condition and nursing need. Accurately and promptly implement physician's orders. Initiate and lead team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans. Supervise and direct CNA's. Keep resident's environment clean and free of clutter. Obtain resident vital signs. Answer resident call lights and ensure that residents who are unable to call for help are checked frequently. Follow safety/infection control precautions. Follow hand-washing procedures during your daily duties. Assist with meal tray set-up and assist with resident meals as needed. Ensure that all meals, snacks, and fluids are recorded. Document on flow sheets as directed. Assist in transporting residents to activities, therapy, etc. Report all complaints or grievances to the Nurse Supervisor/Director of Nursing/Administrator or Social Worker. Immediately report all suspected incidents of abuse to the Abuse Coordinator. Immediately report all incidents/accidents to your Nurse Supervisor no matter how minor they may be. Educational Requirements and Experience: Graduate of an accredited LPN School of Nursing. Valid LPN license in the state of Alabama. Valid CPR certification. Minimum one year nursing experience preferred. Minimum one year SNF experience highly preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team. Ability to work effectively with the residents, their family members, and at all levels of the facility. Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
