Fire Protection Inspection Technician – Ensure Commercial & Industrial Safety with Fire & Safety Specialists, Inc.

Job Overview:

• Company: Fire & Safety Specialists, Inc.
• Salary/Pay Rate: $20.00 – $35.00 per hour (Plus Performance-Based Bonus)
• Location: Memphis, TN (40% Travel Required)
• Job/Employment Type: Full-Time
• Project Scope: Commercial and Industrial Fire Protection Systems
• Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: One or more licenses in: fire suppression, fire detection, fire alarm, sprinkler, or fire extinguisher systems, valid driver’s license.

How You Will Make an Impact:

• Perform thorough inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire protection systems to ensure complete regulatory compliance.
• Identify operational issues or system defects during routine checks and execute accurate repairs.
• Complete accurate service reports and documentation detailing system status and completed maintenance.
• Collaborate directly with clients on-site to address technical questions and provide expert guidance.
• Adhere to strict OSHA and site safety guidelines during all installation and testing procedures.
• Support project teams across travel assignments while maintaining precise technical standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Active license in one or more licenses in: fire suppression, detection, fire alarm, sprinkler, or fire extinguisher systems.
• Proven experience in installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, or repair of fire protection systems.
• Ability to travel up to 40% for project assignments outside the immediate local area.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using specialized hand and power tools safely.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills for completing field service reports.
• Clean driving record
• Adhering to and upholding strict safety measures

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in the fire protection industry.
• Completion of a trade program or technical certification in fire safety or specialized electrical systems.
• Familiarity with commercial and industrial building codes and safety regulations.
• Strong leadership
