Cardiovascular Special Procedures Tech – EP Lab WORK LOCATION: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231 WORK HOURS: Full time 40 hrs per week Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM Department Highlights Level 1 Trauma Certified Stroke Center 4 Procedure Rooms Self-scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational candidate career growth. Fast-Paced, high volume Engaged Leadership Team Engaged Physicians Qualifications Associate degree in applied science OR Completion of accredited program in radiologic or cardiovascular technology OR High School Diploma or Equivalent with 2 years of work experience in invasive cardiology One year of experience preferred Must live within a 30 minute drive for on-call requirements ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologist upon hire required or GMRT – General Medical Radiologic Technologist if ARRT upon hire OR RCIS – Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist obtain within 6 months if graduate from Cardiovascular Accredited Program 6 Months Req And LMRT - Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist If RCIS only within 6 months required BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required ACLS—Advanced Cardiac Life Support—within 90 days required Responsibilities Imaging Quality and Processing: Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to exam. Performs complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations. Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique. Correctly sends and transfers images to PACS.
